Balancing our Morning & Afternoon Kindergarten Sessions
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we are adjusting our morning (AM) and afternoon (PM) session boundaries to ensure balanced class sizes and an equitable learning environment for our youngest Warriors.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
WHY? When we reviewed our 2026 kindergarten enrollment data alongside recent housing trends, the data revealed a significant, disproportionate increase in the number of families slated for the morning session. As our community grows, this shift helps us meet our current needs while thoughtfully planning balanced boundaries for the future based on the growth that lies ahead. Restructuring transportation allows us to balance the classrooms so every child gets the resources they deserve.
WHO IS IMPACTED? Bus routes in specific areas are transitioning from AM to PM. Because preschool and kindergarten ride together, this applies to both. Affected families received a detailed letter via email this week.
WHAT'S NEXT? Our teams are finalizing details. Specific teacher assignments and bus routes will be sent early in August.
