Kindergarten Registration Begins March 1

Attention future Warriors! If you have a child starting kindergarten this fall, please take note of these important registration updates and new state requirements: a change to Ohio law modified the age requirement for entrance into kindergarten. The old rule required children to turn 5 earlier in the year. Now, if your child turns five years old on or before the first day of school, they can start kindergarten that year.

 

For the 2026-2027 school year, the first day of kindergarten for students is August 19, 2026. Therefore, if a child is 5 years old on or before August 19, they are eligible for kindergarten.
