Lebanon City School Board Announces New Treasurer

At the September 20, 2021 meeting, the Lebanon City School District Board of Education approved a contract with Karen R. Ervin to serve as the district’s new Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer effective October 1, 2021. In this role, Mrs. Ervin will oversee the financial operations of the district, covering a myriad of responsibilities including the accuracy and timeliness of all state and federal reporting, the development of the annual district budget and the district’s Five-Year Forecast.
Mrs. Ervin has 11 years of experience in Ohio Governmental Finances and Accounting, including holding the position of Finance Director in the City of Monroe and Franklin, and working with the Ohio Auditor of State’s Office. She is currently the Finance Director for City of Monroe. Before beginning her career in government finance, she was a staff auditor for First Federal Bank of Ohio. Mrs. Ervin received dual bachelor’s degrees in English and psychology from The Ohio State University and a master’s degree in accounting, from the University of Phoenix.
