LHS Senior Named "Commended Student"

Congratulations to Olivia Howard, a senior at Lebanon High School, for being named a National Merit Commended Student! 

 

The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for high school students. Olivia was named a Commended Student based on her high score on the preliminary SAT college admissions test.

 

Each year, about 1.5 million students take the PSAT. Of those, 50,000 students nationwide with the highest scores qualify for recognition in the National Merit Scholarship Program either as Commended Students or Semifinalists.

 

Olivia is one of 34,000 students nationwide to receive this honor, representing the top 3% to 5% of test-takers.
