Once Upon a Mattress April 24, 25, 26
Lebanon High School Drama is excited to invite the community to their spring musical production of Once Upon a Mattress, which opens NEXT FRIDAY NIGHT! They will perform in the District Performance Center auditorium on Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25 at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, April 26 at 2:00 p.m.
Tickets are priced at $10 for district staff members, students, and senior citizens, and $12 for adults, and are now available for purchase at this link. Tickets will also be available at the door on performance nights; however, day-of ticket sales will be cash only, and presale is greatly preferred.
This production is a hilarious, high-energy retelling of The Princess and the Pea! In a far-off kingdom, Queen Aggravain has decreed that no one may marry until her son, Prince Dauntless, finds a bride, but every princess must first pass the Queen’s impossible tests. Enter Winnifred the Woebegone, an unconventional swamp princess who just might turn the kingdom upside down. With her bold personality and big heart, she sets out to win the prince’s love, if she can survive the ultimate “sensitivity test.”
Filled with laugh-out-loud moments, lively songs, and lovable characters, this joyful musical comedy celebrates being unapologetically yourself. This show is truly hilarious and enjoyable for the whole family.
This production features a cast and crew of 50 Lebanon City Schools students. These students are incredibly talented and have worked so hard preparing for these performances; you won’t want to miss watching them shine like the absolute superstars they are on stage.
Led by a production team of Sam Bergman, Mary Beth Runnoe, Judy Mansky, and Kelsey Ramicone, Once Upon a Mattress runs approximately 2½ hours, including a 15-minute intermission.
We would love to see you there to celebrate these amazing students. Thank you for supporting all the performing arts in our district!
