District Statement Following November Election

Building a RRR Community grahpic

Lebanon City School Community,

Thank you to everyone who participated in the recent election and engaged in this important conversation about the future of Lebanon Schools. We extend our deepest gratitude to the dedicated members of our campaign team, volunteers, and community supporters who worked over the past few months to communicate our district’s financial needs. While the outcome was not what we hoped for, we are thankful for the more than 7,000 voters who showed their support with a "yes" vote, while also respecting that many residents who deeply care for our schools are facing challenging economic situations and felt the timing of this request was not right for their families.

Throughout this process we have met with and listened to community members who brought different perspectives to those discussions and we will honor and respect that feedback as we consider our next steps as a district. The financial challenges facing Lebanon City Schools have not gone away, and we will need to revisit new revenue options within the next year. In the spirit of our core mission, we are committed to reflecting on this outcome, remaining responsible stewards of your resources, and continuing to engage openly and respectfully with our community to find sustainable solutions together. Above all, our primary focus remains unchanged: we will continue to provide high-quality educational opportunities for every student in our district. Thank you for your ongoing partnership as we navigate the path forward together.

Onward Lebanon,

Isaac W. Seevers, Superintendent
