Stop-Arm Cameras Installed on Buses

May 7, 2026

Our transportation department has been awarded a grant for the purchase and installation of stop-arm cameras on our school buses.

These cameras are designed to enhance student safety by capturing images of any vehicle that illegally passes a school bus while the stop arm is extended and red lights are flashing. When a violation occurs, the system records the incident, and a report may be filed with local law enforcement.

The safety of our students is our top priority. These cameras serve as a vital tool in ensuring that all drivers follow traffic laws and protect children as they board and exit the bus.We appreciate your continued support in keeping our community safe.

Please remember: when the red lights flash and the stop arm is out, you must stop.

By working together and staying vigilant, we can ensure that every student's journey to and from school remains a safe one.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our transportation department.
