From the Principal

Welcome to Berry Intermediate!

I am honored to have served the Lebanon City School community for the last 30 years as teacher, instructional leader, assistant principal, and for the last 9 years as the principal of BIS!

The many years spent in education have taught me the importance of building relationships and learning about each child’s personality, strengths, and weaknesses to guide them to be their very best. Something Berry staff discusses often is that the role is not to just teach content found in the state standards, but to teach the whole child.   Each child deserves something unique to him or her and it is our job as educators to connect with each child to determine what they need and meet this need in an enriching and engaging way. As a principal, it is my goal to give the staff resources and support so they can give your children the best experience possible.

Berry is a special place!  Our staff is hardworking and committed to the students that enter the BIS halls.  Much time, effort, and professional development is spent creating positive environments and working to build strong relationships with families and students.  This staff holds firmly the belief that intentional support of social-emotional learning alongside strong academic expectations is what each of us (caregiver and staff alike) want for the students that spend a portion of their school career at Berry. We sincerely believe partnerships with families are tremendously important to ensure that all students have the support and guidance they need to grow, achieve, and prepare for their futures.

I look forward to an engaging and successful 2022-2023 school year.  I thank families for sharing their children with us each day.  Together let’s grow and make meaningful memories together!

Sincerely,
Elizabeth (Beth) Kletzly, Principal
