Individual Counseling

Individual Counseling

Our School Counselors meet with students for a variety of different needs. We utilize the Brief Solution Focused approach to individual counseling. This often equates to 3-5 visits.

Please note school counselors do not provide therapy, however we can make referrals to mental health services as needed.

Ways to refer:

  • A student may refer themselves by telling their teacher or staff member at school.

  • A teacher or staff member may refer the student.

  • A parent/guardian may refer their child.

    • The best way to reach us is to email or call us directly.

Topics we can help students with:

  • Managing & Regulating Emotions

  • Developing Healthy Coping Skills

  • Building Social Skills

  • Conflict Resolution & Peer Mediation

  • Decision Making

  • Self Control
