Gifted Education
Lebanon City School District supports gifted students by providing challenging educational programs for identified students that vary in pace, complexity and/or content from that of the typical classroom.
We believe gifted students benefit from:
1- instructional environments that challenge students of similar abilities to learn from each other;
2- diversity in their educational experiences regarding instructional strategies, materials, and types of activities;
3- exposure to activities which are complex and can stretch and expand their abilities; and
4- a support system of district administration, teachers, and parents who will guide and counsel in self-development, decision-making and future planning.

More about Gifted Education Coaches
Gifted education coaches support teachers through collaboration, lesson co-design, and professional development (PD) opportunities. PD highlights the social and emotional needs of students, Written Education Plan implementation, and differentiation strategies. Coaches also coordinate WEP distribution, acceleration forms and testing, and acceleration team meetings.
