Superintendent's Office- Todd Yohey, Superintendent

Dear Lebanon School Stakeholders:

Welcome to another exciting school year for the Lebanon City School District. I am very happy with the work done over the summer months to clean, repair, and maintain our facilities and buses. Our maintenance staff and bus mechanics have done an excellent job in preparing for the first day of school. Of course, the most important thing we do over the summer is hire staff to work with our students. We have hired awesome teachers, administrators, aides and other support staff who will have positive impacts on the lives of kids. I am proud to offer our new staff members to the community. They will help us remain Warrior Strong.

We want every child to have a great school year and encourage you to contact your child’s teacher or principal if you have questions or concerns as we move through the school year. Catching issues early is the best way to get agreeable resolutions and we want everyone in our school community to be pleased with their experiences.

School funding will continue to be a challenge for the Lebanon City School District. The community has been very supportive of two recent renewal levies that did not raise current taxes. However, with the Ohio school funding model and the district now in deficit spending, the school district will be asking for an increase in property taxes in 2019 to continue operations of the district without drastic cuts. Lebanon City Schools operates on a lean budget and proudly maintains one of the lowest expenditures per pupil in the State of Ohio. Our pledge is to continue that stewardship of taxpayer funds.

We also communicate frequently on social media through our Facebook page and websites. Many buildings also maintain a Twitter account.

I look forward to a successful 2018-2019 school year and wish all of you the best.
